Kitab Hidup Setelah Mati

ORANG yang bijak adalah mereka yang mengerti tujuan hidupnya. Diantaranya, dia sadar bahwa kewajibannya adalah untuk ‘beribadah’ kepada Allah (QS. Al-Dzāriyāt [51]: 56).

Karena Allah adalah pemilik dan penguasanya (mālik). Bahkan hari akhirat pun menjadi milik-Nya (Qs. 1: 3). Maka, ibadahnya merupakan bentuk kesadaran bahwa dia hanya seorang ‘abd (hamba). Dan, rajanya adalah Allah. Dan ibadah yang diproyeksikan untuk negeri akhirat merupakan pengingat siapa saja bahwa ada kehidupan setelah kematian. Ada akhirat setelah dunia. Kata Allah, “Akhirat itu lebih baik bagimu daripada dunia ini.” (Qs. Al-Dhuhā [93]: 4).

Dan jika kehidupan akhirat itu lebih baik (khair) daripada dunia ini tidak berarti bahwa dunia ini tidak penting. Dunia tetap penting. Hanya saja, dunia adalah “jembatan” menuju akhirat.

Ia bukan tempat abadi bagi manusia, karena manusia pasti meninggalkannya. Ketika sampai ajalnya, dia akan kembali jua ke kampung hakiki, kampung akhirat (tempat tinggal terakhir). Itu sebabnya dunia dan akhirat tidak boleh dipisahkan. Karena Islam tak mengenal dikotomi: menceraikan kehidupan dunia dari akhirat. “Carilah olehmu sekalian kenikmatan negeri akhirat, tapi jangan lupakan bagianmu di dunia ini.” (QS. Al-Qaṣaṣ [28]: 77).

Maka, dunia ini harus dimenej dengan baik, agar hidup di permukaannya tak sia-sia.

Imam Ibn Qudāmah memberi nasihat penting mengeni dunia ini. Beliau menulis dengan sangat indah;

“Ketahuilah! Semoga Allah merahmatimu. Dunia ini adalah “ladang” akhirat, tempat keuntungan berniaga, tempat mengumpulkan bekal, dan menumpuk barang-barang yang menguntungkan. Orang yang lebih dahulu mendapatkannya dialah yang menang. Di dalamnya orang-orang yang bertakwa sukses, orang-orang jujur menuai kejayaan, orang-orang yang beramal memanen hasil, sementara orang yang berleha-leha mereguk gelas kerugian yang tiada tara.

Dunia ini adalah angan-angan tempat kembali penghuni surga dan penghuni neraka.

Tentang penghuni neraka Allah berfirman: “Dan mereka (penghuni neraka) berteriak-teriak di dalam neraka sembari berkata, ‘Hai Tuhan kami, keluarkan kami dari neraka ini agar kami beramal selain amal-amal (kejelekan) yang sudah kami kerjakan.” (QS. Fāṭir [35]: 37).

Allah juga berfirman mengenai mereka: ‘Dan jika engkau menyaksikan ketika mereka dihadapkan ke neraka, lalu mereka berkata, ‘Kiranya kami dikembalikan ke dunia dan tidak mendustakan ayat-ayat Tuhan kami, serta menjadi orang-orang yang beriman…” (QS. Al-An’ām [6]: 27). (Imam Ibn Qudāmah, Waṣiyat al-‘Ālim al-Jalīl Muwaffaq al-Dīn Ibn Qudāmah al-Maqdisī, taḥqīq: Muḥammad Khair Ramadhān Yūsuf (Beirut-Lebanon: Dār Ibn Ḥazm, 1418 H/1997 M: 9).

PEOPLE wise are those who understand the purpose of life. Among them, he realized that his duty is to 'worship' Allah (QS. Al-Dzāriyāt [51]: 56).

Since God is the owner and ruler (Malik). Even hereafter becomes his (Qs. 1: 3). So, worship is a form of consciousness that he was only an 'abd (slave). And, the king is God. And worship projected in the Hereafter is a reminder to anyone that there is life after death. There is a hereafter after world. God said, "Hereafter is better for you than this world." (Qs. Al-Dhuha [93]: 4).

And if the afterlife is better (khair) than the world does not mean that the world is not important. The world remains important. However, the world is a "bridge" to the afterlife.

He is not eternal place for humans, because humans must have left it. When it came to his end, he would return to the village nevertheless essential, hereafter (last place). That is why the world and the hereafter should not be separated. Because Islam does not recognize the dichotomy: divorce life of the world of the hereafter. "Seek ye all pleasure in the Hereafter, but do not forget your share in this world." (QS. Al-Qasas [28]: 77).

Thus, this world must dimenej well, so that live on the surface was not in vain.

Imam Ibn Qudaamah gave important advice mengeni this world. He wrote so beautifully;

"Know! May God have mercy. This world is the "fields" hereafter, the trade gains, a place to collect supplies, and accumulate goods favorable. The person who first got he has won. In it those who fear a successful, honest people reap the glory, the people who labor to harvest the results, while those who drank a glass lazed incomparable loss.

This world is a delusion place back the hosts of heaven and the inhabitants of hell.

About the inhabitants of the Fire Allah says: "And they (inmates of Hell) screaming in hell while saying, 'O our Lord, remove us from this hell so that we do good in addition to deeds (evil) which we have done." (QS . Fatir [35]: 37).

Allah said about them: "And if you watch when they are exposed to hell, then they said, 'It seems we returned to the world and does not belie the verses of our Lord, as well as being people who believe ..." (QS. Al- An'am [6]: 27).
